If you are looking for not only a great education, but a great life experience Ohio State University is the right place. I completed my PhD at the university in 2008. The research facilities and the learning atmosphere here is really good. Would definitely recommend it to future students.

I did Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT, Madras. My selection to the doctorate program at the university did not pose any issues.

The university awarded me Graduate Research Assistantship and Graduate Teaching Assistantship.

My research interests were in the fields of Parallel and Distributed Systems, Network and Cluster Computing, Multi-Tiered Server Architectures, High Speed Interconnects, Computer Architecture. My project included designing and implementing high performance and scalable data-center services like distributed lock management and memory aggregation required for efficient coordination of processes in cluster-based multi-tier data-center environments.

I had the opportunity to publish extensively while at the university.

It is my objective to obtain a challenging full time position as a research associate/software engineer in systems software.
