Meharry Medical College, located at Nashville, Tennessee, was founded in 1876 as the Medical Department of Central Tennessee College of Nashville, under the guidance of the Freedmans Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church. It is a private college with a total enrollment of around 739 students. The College offers masters degree, doctors degree and first professional degree in disciplines like Biochemistry, Biological & Biomedical, Dentistry, Medicine and Public Health, etc., via the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry and School of Graduate Studies & Research.
