University of Nebraska Medical Center is a public academic health science center located in Nebraska. It offers patient care, research and education and is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Today, more than 3,000 students attend the medical center. The university comprises of the following colleges: Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health, School of Allied Health Professions, Graduate Studies, Continuing Education and Youth Programs.
